Shout out to my new followers; I am fully back now and thanks a loooot for following, you guys made me smile. Happy new year to everybody. Let me now  get back to writing great stories for 2012.
Pheww.......that wasn't easy o.lol.
By popular demand, the story for today is BABY MAMA (Part 2).  In case you missed it, the part 1 is here. Enjoy.
N.B: if you've not forwarded my xmas/new year gift, please do so.lol

I remember clearly too the first day I went to a grown man’s house alone. I dragged my legs on the road. I stopped and starred into space and continued again. I’m sure people who saw me that day would have thought I was going mad. Maybe I was, it was a hard decision. Uncle Jo had told me not to do it when he dropped me off yesterday, he said he would explain to Mum and Dad but I had said no. Its better this way, how do I start explaining to my parents that I don’t even know the name of the boy I am pregnant for? Yeah, it was Tessie's birthday party and as my best friend, Mum had allowed me to sleepover. Tessie’s brother came home with a lot of friends for the party and they kept daring us to drink. I said no, bearing in mind Mum’s stern warning about the dangers of drinking alcohol but I gave in latter, when I saw Tessie didn’t die after two bottles.
He said his name way Paul, Peter, Peace.....I really cant remember but there was a “P” somewhere, all I remember is that he said my body was sweet like honey and I followed him to the bathroom. I can’t even remember what the sex was like; it was over in one minute after which he gave me two tablets. I hate pills so I threw them in the toilet and flushed.
Uncle Jo had threatened to tell my parents if I went through with it but luckily, he had gotten an urgent call from his family to come over. It would all be over before he comes back.

BABY MAMA

I remember clearly the first time I went to the hospital alone. I stood for a good ten minutes at the gate before I went in. I was scared. So scared. I was biting my nails and looking down. I had insisted Momma shouldn’t come with me. My reason was that I was big enough to take care of myself; after all, I was sixteen…or will be on my next birthday. I had also insisted not to go to Uncle Jo’s hospital. Uncle Jo was my Dad’s friend and has been our family doctor since I can remember.
I had to wait in a long queue to take the card and I had to sit after then to wait for my turn. I looked around……..I saw mothers, old men, old women, nurses…………..they were all so comfortable. I didn’t see any sixteen year old girl.
“Miss Clarisse?”
“Yes Ma”
“Your turn”
I bit my lower lip, straightened my skirt and followed the nurse.
The doctor was busy writing when I entered. The nurse motioned me to sit and closed the door.
The doctor finally looked at me.
“Clarisse”
“What?”
“Are you not Clarisse?”
“Oh yes”
“And you are 18?”
I nodded
He stared at me for some minutes, like he was trying to make up his mind about something.
“So what is wrong with you?”
“I have been……..”
Somebody knocked
“Come in”
It was Uncle Jo. Appears he knows the other doctor that’s off duty. He chose to sit down a little before leaving.
“Baby, are you alright?”
Uncle Jo calls me “baby”. I just nodded and smiled. The doctor looked at me and motioned me to continue.
“I have been having serious menstrual pain lately”
He asked me some questions, prescribed some drugs and I left the office. I was waiting at the pharmacy when Uncle Jo passed. I stood up and ran back to the doctor’s office. I didn’t wait for his “come in”. I entered and stood there till he looked up.
 “I think I’m pregnant”
He gave me that look again, the screening look.
“You think or you are?”
I hesitated
“I am pregnant”
He started writing again. After standing there for 2minutes without him saying anything to me I decided to leave. He gave me the paper then.
“Be there 9am tomorrow…………..with N5, 000”
I nodded and left the office. I didn’t even wait at the pharmacy for drugs. I just walked out.
Uncle Jo was leaning against his car, waiting for me.
“Linda, are you pregnant?”
I was pretending I didn’t hear him
“Linda, you used a fake name, fake age, fake address……………does your mom even know why you’re here?”
I broke down
“Im sorry uncle Jo. I don’t know……………..I don’t know what to do…………..please don’t tell mum”

MOMMY DON'T CRY

Mommy looked at me and said:
“Linda, just make sure you are not a second wife and don't ever marry someone that will get one……..do you understand?”
I nodded. I didn’t understand. All I understood was that mommy was always crying in the kitchen and when she hears Mama Nnukwu coming she wipes her eyes and told me stories. I loved the stories but I hated mommy crying.
I opened my eyes and heard somebody shouting. I checked the clock on the wall, It was 2’oclock in the morning; I was just learning how to tell the time. I sleep-walked to the living room and it was mommy. I was surprised; mommy never shouts. Daddy and Mama Nnukwu were throwing out her bags from her room. I ran to mommy
“Mommy, why are you shouting?” I didn't even notice the tears running down her cheeks.
She looked at me and she appeared strong, like those superwomen I saw on TV. I’ve never seen her that way.
“You won’t understand Nwa” (that was what mum calls me when she wants me to stop asking questions.
I clutched mommy’s wrapper and when she picked her bags and started leaving I was with her. Daddy pulled me back and I started crying………………I wanted to go with my mommy. I was struggling to get away from daddy’s grip when Mama Nnukwu locked the door and daddy gave me a hard slap. Daddy told me to go back to sleep and like the 5 year old I was, I obeyed.
